Yoga as a fitness regime has become so popular in Western culture. But did you know that the physical practice of Yoga is only one part of the practice as a whole? Join me for a series of workshops about Yoga Beyond Asana, where I’ll be teaching about the parts of Yoga that help you not just see the people and world around you in a better light, but also teach you how to love and grow within yourself!
Part One: The Yamas
The Yamas are half of Yoga’s guidelines to living a mindful, ethical life. They’re five self-regulating behaviors that involve our interactions with those outside of ourselves. Practicing them can help you better relate to the people, creatures & world around you. I’ve written a little bit about the first one in my first blog post here, but if you want to learn about the other four then I hope you’ll join me for this workshop at Vikriya Lab!
